Microsoft Office Won T Activate On Mac
Jun 04, 2019 If you don't assign a user a license, you can still deploy Office for Mac to that user, but the user won't be able to activate and use Office. For Office 365 customers, Office for Mac activates by contacting the Office Licensing Service on the internet. Microsoft office 365 was purchased last July for 1 year through AppStore. It was working until recently started to ask to 'Activate'. I'm a new user and may have done something with the usernames, but I can't recall unfortunately. I can see Microsoft in 'Purchased' section in AppStore. When I open Word or Excel - I see message 'Activate'.

- Sep 26, 2018 Not on this release but when moving from old mac book to new one (got rid of old one so not running on 2) I had to do a Microsoft office license 2016 removal and then redid the license and it worked. Found the removal tool on the Microsoft support site.
